The shared kitchen space was clean and you could use the refrigerator, which was nice. The staff were also very kind.

It's a pity that the bath only has a shower. Even better if you have a yukata.

I felt the warmth of the building and the owner couple. The futon was soft and comfortable.

The restaurant was reserved for the day, so I was looking forward to the meal, but I wasn't able to eat it. I definitely want to eat there again the next time I go.

An old Geisha house restored but with all the sanitary facilities renovated. This hotel is a little pearl in which we spend a night in another era but in very good comfort. Yuko and Gabriel are warm, passionate and caring hosts. The value for money is exceptional; a small, basic hotel costs slightly more From Thursday to Sunday, the inn also transforms into a Tapas bar; Unfortunately I wasn't able to take advantage of it but I will definitely go back.

Okiya is a warm and welcoming ryokan ran by a lovely couple that treated me like their own. Feel free to ask any requests from them, including ebike rentals and tours. Do be sure to let them know in advance so they can plan and prepare. Kiryu is a wonderful place full of history, and this former geisha house fits right in. Aside from touring the city, an evening spent getting to know both the hosts and the house can be an attraction too!

I wished I stayed for more nights so I could get to know the hosts and city more.
